Whew!

All moms of little kids know that when things are quiet, it's time to worry. I was cleaning the kitchen when I noticed the deafening silence, and was very happy to find these two peacefully "reading" in their room. And even better: notice the still-occupied bookshelf in front of them!

Like I really intended to forward my bank statement to everyone. Sheesh.

Signe has him dressed up in pink and singing songs from "Tangled". And while I love that Zane can spend an hour looking at books (about the only time he sits still), his Daddy and I are reaching our limit of patience with completely emptied bookshelves, which he does EVERY TIME he sits down to look at them. Right now he is sitting on the pile like a king on his throne. And note the barren shelves behind him.
On the plus side, it is fun to have Signe home all day. The play is much more creative; when just the boys are here it is more limited to sword fights and car crashes and flying leaps around the living room.

Got distracted again.

Signe and Gunnar have a very rare snow day home from school, after a 2-hour power outage last night and branches laden with heavy wet snow raining down all over town. They were excited to clean their room so they could play dress-up, even if it was Zane who made the huge mess by dumping all the bins yesterday. Looks like their ambition was short-lived.
