Paddling on the Palouse

There was a thunderhead building to the south of us (over Moscow, ID). So we drifted for a while in a calm section of the Palouse River and watched it grow.

As we were heading to shore to load up and go home, we had to go cross-current in some light rapids. The current combined with our own "advanced" paddling skills tipped the canoe and totally soaked us both. Happily, Isaac's iPhone and the contents of the cooler stayed dry. Unfortunately, we did not, but as you can tell from the pics, we didn't seem to mind.
